Does Time Move Faster As We Age?

Recently I joined Shine, Yahoo's Social Network.. I was writing about turning 46 years old and how it has seemed to affect me in some ways..... While writing this post I had a profound thought..

Turning 46 for some strange twisted reason has turned into some horrible milestone, some negative monumental event in my life..believe me... I wonder what the heck I am whining about...I should be thankful for every breath that I take.

But really I was thinking about time..and how quickly it goes by..and before you know it...your grand kids graduate from college..and you really hope to live to see that day!  Twisted thoughts maybe..but I admit..they've been mine.

60 seconds equals a minute for everyone at any age right?

But it seems there comes a certain point in people's lives where they think time seems to move faster...

Ever Wonder Why?

As I was writing my first post on Yahoo's Shine..I came up with this theory..and let's see if agree or disagree with my conclusion...

  • "To stop and smell the roses-Really appreciate what you have and notice it and take time to experience it..that moment..you will never get back..the clock always ticks and we continue to move forward.  Time moves the same..but in a sense time moves faster..when you start to realize your time on the planet is very limited..you start to think of mortality....morality...and humanity..and you start to ponder..What have I done to make a difference in this planet?  For me I seem to move faster..my thoughts..my words and my actions..time is flying by... and moving much faster than 10 years ago..  There is a sense of urgency that I feel because of age and time and I believe the urgency is why time seems to move faster as you get older."

Does it feel like time is moving faster?  If so...don't waste it!

Full-Time VS. Part Time Real Estate Agent? What's The Definition to you?

Yesterday in our sales meeting we talked about the Makeover2Takeover contest.  My apprentice, Jeannette Neerpat puts approximately 20 hours a week in real estate.  Years ago that might be considered part-time but today, if you streamline your business you can infact work fewer hours and enjoy getaways and vacations.

Quality hours working with systems and tools to help you to be much more efficient..

That's what this contest has given Jeannette..a much easier way to manage her real estate career.

  • Electronic Contact Management
  • E-Mail Autoresponders
  • Websites and Blogs
  • Paper Presentations and Electronic Presentations
  • Voicemail
  • Buyer Systems and Seller Systems

Just some of the tools needed to streamline your business, a successful business for today's consumer.

Full-Time VS. Part Time Real Estate Agent

What's the definition to you?

One of our agents in our list of the top 10 producers works two careers...while he may spend fewer hours in real estate.

He has generated more income than many so called Full-Time agents.

So what is my definition?

Someone who does a transaction for a friend or family member.. The person who consumes a manager or trainer's time trying to work through that one transaction.  To not see them or hear from them until they get that lucky shot in the dark and obtain another buyer or seller.

The person who never updates their services or their skills and does bare minimum getting by.  It's not the hours you put in..its the effort! And you have to ask yourself is it quality????

So what's your definition?  Would love to hear!   I'm sure this could be a lively debate..
