A recent post of gathering statistics made me look into our MLS..it's interesting and something I clearly do not understand....
Why agents do not track and make sure they get credit for their sales.
You worked the transaction and probably worked darn hard!
Most MLS systems have the capability to plug in the cooperating brokers info...to ensure they get credit for the participation in the sale. Ever wonder why your stats are incorrect? In some instances...the listing office takes credit for it or it shows up as non member selling the property.
Has this ever happened to you?
If you do not have a system in place to receive the credit that is due to you...I suggest you create a form or email and when the transaction closes...send this form with your information to the listing broker and then follow up!
Otherwise..your selling stats could very well be zero!
Information you should include: Date property closed, the property address, your full name and your license or mls ID number. Funny thing in our mls...we have a drop down box which you can search agents information but just like everything else nothing is perfect!
